Bill Knott

Here’s an interesting guy I somehow hadn’t heard of until recently:

Bill Knott

I read this interview and liked him before even reading his work. He’s written many different kinds of poems over the last fifty years, some of them pretty farking brilliant. We’re reprinting a few in the upcoming issue of the Shit Creek Review.

His original books are out of print, so he has assembled his own collections and published them on Lulu.com, where you can buy printed copies or download them for free in PDF form.

Check out his art blog, too, where you can view images of his hand-painted book covers. (My favorite so far is this one. Syllabics on the piano-precipice! How symbolic.)
